Hi, i just picked up a new 16gb iphone and I would like to unlock it. I prefer to use the ziphone method since it is the easiest but i've been reading that this method downgrades the bootloader from 4.6 to 3.9. Is this bad?? Should I worry?

I would like to just unlock the iphone to use on another providers network...do you need to downgrade the bootloader for the unlock? I'm not too interested in jailbreaking...

is there anyway to unlock keeping the same bootloader?

this is what i'd like to do when i get an iPhone, just have factory apps (no installer) and just use it on a Candian plan

Well I finally used iPlus 2.0 and it worked great...phone is functioning fine.

I recommend using this instead of ziphone.

I've been debating as to whether use Ziphone or Iplus. Ziphone is definitely more popular but I've always heard Iplus is better.

Why would you recommend it?
