iPhone update problem

After update to 16.5.1 on a 13 Pro Max I can no longer send messages to androids. iPhone messages to iPhones okay. Facebook messenger to android okay. Worked fine until the damn update! I enabled SMS, did reset, wiped the phone still no android messages. Keep getting the ❗️message not sent…. Anybody have same problem or an idea?

Problem is resolved. It must be a problem with the phone and the update. With T-Mobile on the line we tried many thing over the course of an hour. But what worked was changing the Cellular, Voice and Data selection from 5G Auto to LTE. Then it worked? Put phone back to 5G and still works, so back to normal.

What does this have to do with texting? Who knows, but I can text to android phones again.
