Hello, when I click on update in itunes (when syncing etc my iphone) it gives me a message saying that itunes is the latest version and that's that! So I cannot update the phone. Anybody come across this?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

After you click your iPhone in the left bar in iTunes, click on Check for Updates there. That will update your iPhone to the 4.0 software.

It sounds like your trying to update iTunes through the iTunes menu instead.

Hi, thanks for replying. I am clicking ton the iphone update button, but it gives me the itunes reply after showing contacting iphone update etc in the processing bar. So I'm flumoxed. It's updated before OK on many occasions.

Hi, the problem was that itunes was 9.1.1. version on my mac but needed to be 9.2. The message from apple wasn't helpful as it simply confirmed that 9.1.1. was the latest version and not that 9.2 was available or required. Cheers
