iPhone update server down?

i have been trying to update my iPhone for 12hours and keep getting this message. does anyone else have this problem?

My iPhone connected quite fine to the update server via Settings>General>Software Update, and that was just on EDGE, not even 3G or WiFi. iTunes reads fine as well when checking for updates.
