I guess I'm not the only anxious one:

Your not the only one... I'm getting the same message. I get the same thing also if i try to update itunes.

I Guess the server is bogged down or crashed.
 
Sucks even more when you have to restore your iphone before going out to run errands.

I guess errands will have to wait.
 
1) Run software update, get the new quicktime, itunes, frontrow, and imovie updates

2) Restart mac

3) Launch and quit itunes with iphone connected until it lets you download, i quit and restarted itunes 4 times until it let me connect to the server, i'm downloading it now
 
Here we go! I re-started iTunes with the iPhone connected and I'm downloading now. Woo-hoo!
 
I still can't grab it... do you think i should download the itunes update first off the apple website?
 
oooo i'm so excited! Just got through the painstaking process of waiting to be able to connect to the server, now i have 79 minutes until its done!
I can't wait!!!!
