Hello everyone I plan to upgrade to iPhone 16 pro max I’m already enrolled in program.

Here my only concerns when I got 15 pro max last year I retuned 3 phones on the IUP program repurchased each time till i found one that was working and phone always pay on time I even speed up payments to upgrade early.

Each time I reapply to the program and one out of the three times they couldn’t verify my father identify till it got resolved three days later and purchased successfully.

I really want to have a smooth pre approval.

Having that amount of phone returned/rebuy on IUP that won’t give them any concerns?

Why would returning phones impact being able to get one?

One thing to do, go into the Apple Store App and confirmed you are enrolled in IUP.

Because each time I return the phone on that program, I had to reapply on Apple’s website. I’m not sure if this will cause any issue on Citzen one end when reapplying ?

When I did three returns out of the three 1 required to get my father identify verified on Citzen one end.

Why did you "reapply"? I have been on IUP since it started and returned a few phones and never had to reapply.

You may want to call Apple or Citizens.

What they told me once you return the phone the loan closes out and I would have to be applying for a brand new one.

They already original loan back in September I still had my old phone so I had to re apply for the new phone I wanted.

That’s why I’m lost I don’t want issue when applying for the new 16 pro max.

One of the reasons why the upgrade programme is foolish.

Another thing When I got my 15 Pro Max, my father, the same day went to the AT&T store since he’s the one paying for the line enrolled in first net to get discount since he works in the healthcare.

But when I did the returns and repurchase it had no issue.

Will it affect my iPhone upgrade since the account on first net not on my line ?

Does three hard pulls from Citzen one on credit history would that affect the next upgrade I do ?
Citizen's will do a hard pull occasionally - but they won't do it every time you apply.
They can see your credit profile via soft pulls internally.

I used to use IUP but found I didn't need a phone every year.
I now use the Apple Card spread out for 24 months at 0% - since phone tech doesn't change every year.

This year I am ready to upgrade from 14+ to 16 using the Apple Card - love the 3% cash back on the purchase too!

On my end I see three hard pulls from Citzen since I did two returns and kept 1

Lots of soft pulls on my end different stuff.
