Hey all.

I bought my new 12 Pro on the upgrade programme for the first time ever. Normally, I just buy it outright.

I'm not really digging the blue and wondering how easy it difficult it is to swap it out for another colour in store.

Did a little googling but couldn't really see any answers, so thought somebody with experience here may be able to help me..

My gut instinct tells me that I'm stuck with this model but I'm hoping i don't have to cancel the whole thing, go through another credit check and do the whole thing from scratch.

Thanks in advance.

I've had to swap models before on the US iPhone Upgrade program. They handled it like a regular return -> closed the loan associated with the phone and then after about 5 minutes they were able to re-start a new loan for the new phone, it was quite painless! It just took their system a few minutes to recognize that the original phone was returned. Hope this helps.

This is great. Did you have to go through a whole new credit check? My credit is good but I don't want to do another hard inquiry so soon as it will knock my score right down.

So since I had done the program previously, I have only had a credit check on my first year signing up with the program. Every time after, including when I had to do a swap, they have only done soft pulls. But I think this is a YMMV situation, I have heard from others that they get a hard pull each time.

No, there's no additional pull for a return/rebuy on the iUP. I've done it a couple of times now.
