I was on the iPhone Upgrade Program last year for the new iPhone launch, and there was a reservation system used to reserve a phone so you could just go into an Apple Store at your reserved time to do the upgrade on launch day. At the time, I had made the 12 payments on my phone so I was immediately eligible.

Due to a carrier issue, I had to return my phone to Apple for a refund and sign up again for the IUP a couple months later. So now I will only be eligible for an EARLY upgrade this year when the phones are released and will have to pay the remaining payments (of 12) to be eligible.

My question is this: did anybody do an early upgrade last year? Were you still able to use the reservation system for preordering the new iPhone?

I just want to make sure that Apple will still let me reserve a phone for launch day even though I would only be eligible for an early upgrade.
