I have a reservation to upgrade my existing 6s to the 7, but decided I want to keep the 6s to give to my daughter. Can I go in and buy outright (and keep existing reservation going)?

My guess is yes... You have reserved the phone. You can just tell them you want to set up a new iPhone Upgrade Program.

Again, I don't know for sure, but I would say this is absolutely possible.

The new phone will be activated, so the sim card in your old phone will be deactivated.

You have to pay it off directly with citizens bank. Just go in and get the 7 without turning your 6S in. Call the bank next week and pay off your 6S.

Well that was a bust. They wouldn't sell me the phone. Guy said it was for upgrades only.

If you would have just gone to the long ass thread about online reservations you would have seen plenty of people reserved and went in and switched it to ATT next or just payed for it all, so that employee burned you

So I setup TWO reservations today and was able to bye both of them outright. Sweet. Proud new owner of the iPhone 7+.

That employee shouldn't have turned you away. I was offered the option to finance or buy outright in addition to the upgrade program. The reservation is just the reservation of the product, the phone, and should not force you into the upgrade program.

Anyway I'm glad you were able to get the ones you wanted!

I was just shocked at how dead it was. Although I had a reservation, the guy standing in front of me was just a walk-in and was able to grab the exact same phone. I can see why Apple doesn't want to release the numbers now. It doesn't look anywhere near as bad as in the past.

One other question. I noticed that when I bought in store I was charged a total of $953.73, but if I buy online the total is $923.31 (both after tax). Are phones allowed to be returned after being opened? If so, any re-stocking fees or is it a 100% refund?
