iPhone USB Tethering

Hi guys,
For some reason my iPhone 4S will not tether via USB onto my MacBook Pro running Lion. I have the latest version of iTunes and my 4S is on 5.1. Any ideas?

That's a good question.
I noticed a bunch of lion users seem to have the same problem.
See if reinstalling itunes makes any difference.

Tried that. Did not seem to make any difference.

i had a similar issue, i had to turn on personal hotspot, stay on that screen then plug the phone in via usb.

you can also try putting it in airplane mode then turning on personal hotspot which will ask you to turn on all the features, bluetooth, etc.

Im with ATT so your use may vary.
