Out of nowhere, my iPhone 4 started vibrating twice in rapid succession when on silent. So I tried turning the ringer on. Same thing. I tried turning off one of the vibrate functions under sound. And...well, you see where this is going.

I update the software last night. Is this a new thing? I haz a confused. And a slightly annoyed. I like my single vibration.

Ha. That sounded kinda dirty.

The phone vibrates twice now when you get a text. Is that what you're referring to?

I am experiencing the same issue. My phone will vibrate twice when I receive an incoming text. I tried to turn vibrate off. But it will still vibrate. I recently upgraded to iOS 4.3. Kind of annoying. Anybody know of a fix?

Read the thread, the answer has already been posted.

The double vibration is the best idea for texts in a while. I have my phone jailbroken but changing the vibration settings was one of the first things I did. It's so much nicer when the phone is in my pocket and I can tell right away if it's an email, notification or text before removing it from there.

It is a new "feature". IT"S NOT BROKEN! There isn't any "fix".
Vibration uses battery power and hey I hate it anyway.

A "feature" has been unliked before, wont be the last time

I won't upgrade till I have to then.

FIX it! I want it off!
