iPhone Video Location Data

So.. the iPhone stores GPS data in pictures and videos you take, sweet! When enabled in iPhoto to automatically gather all of this data and place it on the Places map, all is great except one thing. ALL of the videos I have taken with my iPhone 3G S show up in the South Atlantic Ocean...
