iPhone video to iMac

I ordered the 5 S gold. When I get it and take a video with the iPhone camera, can I send the clip to my iMac so I get delete it from my iPhone to conserve space? This will be my first iPhone, I already have two iMacs and 2 iPads. I'm sure I can transfer any photos taken on the iPhone to my iMac, but would the video clips work the same way? If it's possible to forward the video clip to the iMac, where would be the best place to save it.

When you connect your iPhone to the Mac, iPhoto will launch and you can import photos and videos to iPhoto's library.
If the file size is small, you could, email the videos to yourself.
