iPhone videos won't play on my Note2?

I've had a couple of videos sent to me that were shot on an iPhone 4S and I am unable to open them on my Note2. Weird thing is, other times I can play videos that were shot from a 4S. Anyone know why this is?

What app are you using? Try installing VLC or MX Player and using those, there's pretty much nothing they won't open.
