iPhone 11 Pro Max iPhone vs iPad sound quality

Hi all, I have noticed a massive sound difference between my iPad Pro and my 11 Pro Max, I’m listening using Spotify and the settings are exactly the same. The issues was the same when I had a XS.

What’s going on? I have Sony MDR1000x and AirPod Pros and they sound out of this world on the iPad and mediocre on the phone!!

I don’t share that experience with Apple Music. Does Spotify have a setting somewhere for downloading vs streaming? Maybe the downloads have a higher bitrate.
