Is there a sound difference with iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5G? Or is the audio output (based on hardware) exactly the same!? If not, which one has better sound quality?

The Apple 338S1077 is an Audio CODEC sound chip found in the Apple iPhone 5 and iPod 5th Gen model. Most people would say they sound the same. You would figure the touch is primarily a music player and would sound better.
