Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone knows how to prevent your iPhone from waking your Mac from sleep when it gets plugged in...I thought the solution to the problem would just be to set my iPhone to manually update, however this isn't the case.

The only reason I want this is so that when I put my Mac to sleep, then plug in my iPhone to the dock, I don't want my Mac to wake up again.

Any suggestions, or is this unavoidable?

Thanks.

I've found it unavoidable waking my Mac when plugging or unplugging peripherals. If someone knows how to change this behavior I'd like to know too.

thats USB does. Firewire doesnt wake Macs. another reason why Firewire is better! if you have a first gen iPhone (not 3G) and a Mac with Firewire you could use a Firewire cable and it wont wake your Mac.
