I have a few weeks to decide if I want to get AC for my 6S+ or if I should go with a third party company this time.

I recently found out about a new company called Upsie. They have an app on the store. It's $59 for two years with a $25 deductible.

ST is the usual $89 for two years with a $75 deductible.

Any other options?

I personally go with AppleCare+ because of their express replacement service. For no fee and just a credit card hold to make sure you return the phone, they overnight you a replacement phone for any problem you have. This way, you don't have to wait days for a genius appointment, and 45 minutes past your appointment time until you finally get someone to see you.

I've never heard of Upsie. I warranty everything with SquareTrade, but you may be out of your window for them. Usually you have to buy your warranty within 30 days of purchase.

This is the reason why I always get AppleCare+. It seems faster to me to get a replacement shipped to me than trying to explain the problem to the local genius bar rep. The only drawback is the hold no the credit card, but not an issue for me. But some might be turned off by that.

This has been debated many times. However with the increase deductible of Apple care plus ($99 per incident) plus the $129 initial fee.

Shattered glass (most common reason to fix iPhone) can be officially replaced with Apple "out of warranty" for $129 (6s) or $149 (6s plus). ($299/$329 to fully replace out of warranty water damage/destroyed iPhone)

It may be prudent to just see how clumsy you are with phones.

It's a personal decision with extended warranty.

For my wife. I went with square trade since she's reckless with her iPhone (she had previous water damage 3 out of her last 4 iPhones). I used to not go with any warranty for her) but the chances of her ruining her phone are higher than than the average customer.

With me I have never had insurance and never had any issues.
