So.

I got my 32GB iPhone 3Gs replaced yesterday. Snazzy right? :)

I bought an invisible shield to keep it safe, it's sitting in my dock until the shield arrives(using my 8GB 3G for the time being  :p). Now I wanna go the extra mile and have awesome warranty.

But, which route would you guy's say is best?

There's the obvious - $69 Applecare extension. Pretty great, because it's Apple and all.

There's 3rd party warranties that DO cover water damages(Squaretrade/ Buyshield).

I don't know any personal experience with these companies, so it'd be cool to hear what you all know.

Any advice?

Thank you all!

Squaretrade ftw, that's all I can say :D You can't go wrong with them IMO.

Can I ask your personal experience? What happens if I drop the phone in water? Do they write me a check, or send me a new one?

What happens if the case separates(like my old one)?

Thanks,
-AL9o

Best Buy warrenties covers accidents. I dropped mine while skating and the screen shattered, brand new one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but since I didn't buy the phone at Best Buy, I can't get that warranty, right?
