I need to send in my 3GS for repair under it's warranty. The phone will not turn on at all, not even into DFU mode and no software will recognize it. The problem is the phone is jailbroken. I know if the motherboard is dead then the data cannot be accessed but, just for consideration, what if they do discover that the warranty is void? Do they just send it back unrepaired? Do they charge you for a replacement, repair, or the shipping? I've searched this forum and Google but can't find an answer to these questions. I'm reluctant to send the phone in for these reasons. Does anyone have an experience like this?
