Hi,

I was hoping someone can offer some advise.

My friend has an Iphone, which the touch screen broke on, it's turned on, did everything except you couldn't physically use it. The picture comes up, it's literally just the touch screen that has stopped working. He phoned Apple and they replaced it next day for a brand new one for £30, which is pretty good. They then send the old phone back saying the damage was malicious (never been miss-treated) and requested £435!! O2 don't care and Apple are trying to screw him and getting out of their warranty responsibilities.

Has anyone got any advise? I think they are being absolutely unreasonable, the phone is a lauch one and did have some useage marks on it, but it's never been dropped and he looks after his phones very well.

Many Thanks

How in the world could Apple even tell if the damage was malicious or not?
