iphone week 38 serial should i open?

hey all,

so i recently purchased a few iphones all with week 38 serials and all of them had small stuck pixels on them. i returned it for another week 38 which i have now that is sealed brand new. i wanted to know before i open it if i should return for another serial or are the week 38s fine.

I have a week 38 and it has a perfect screen so have a look but I suppose you could get a dodgy one its down to luck!

I originally had a week 38 iPhone i purchased at an Apple store a few weeks ago which had the negative black screen issues i had it exchanged for a week 35 and its perfect, i wouldnt open that week 38 i would go back and ask for an earlier week.

I am guessing the week is the number after the first three characters. If that is indeed the case than I have a week 38 phone and so far so good.
 
for those of you that have had no problems with your week 38 what are the first few characters in the serial number?
 
If I were you I wouldn't open it. Just ship it straight to me. I'll be happy to test it for a month or two.

Mine had a 7 then an S in front of the 38 however other people on thread thats labled iPhone with negative black screen issues have had issues with the 7R's as well so its hit or miss, i personally would exchange that unopened week 38 for a earlier week for a better one, Apple had to have some production issues during this period.
 
well i used to have a week 32 that had negative black so they gave me a week 38 with serial 7U738P. anyone have any experience with a 7U7?
