Hi everybody,

My iPhone got wet last Sunday. It would turn on, but then it started constantly restarting. If I plugged it into the computer with the USB cable, it stayed on, although the Slide to Shut Down screen kept coming up. Everything else was still there and works fine.

After reading around, I left the phone in a bag of rice (about 2 kgs worth) until this morning.

It still has the same problem (it doesn't stay on if it's not plugged into the USB synching cable). The Lock button doesn't work either. I'm assuming it's still shorting out.

Should I try leaving it in the rice for another 2 weeks (like someone mentioned in this thread) or is there some way to disable the button? I can shut the phone down and lock it with SBSettings, so that's not a problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.
