Iphone while being charged.. Quicker Performance?

I noticed that if my iphone is plugged in to charge and i try to send of a text or do anything on it it seems to be a lot quicker and performs a lot better than regular just running of the battery?

Has anyone else noticed this strange behavior? It seems to be a lot more snappy in the operations while its plugged into a power source.

Can anyone confirm this with me?

Yes I have noticed this too. It's pretty noticeable once the phone starts getting a low battery. I only have a 3g, which one do you own?

same thing actually 3G 8gb.

It would be nice if thats the iphone always performed.

Makes me wonder why it runs faster when its on charge

It's the same with most notebooks, the processor is able to run at its max when plugged in because there is no need for energy efficiency for the battery.

If the processor ran at full capacity while using only the battery, you would have not so great battery life.
