Am unable to connect a I-phone3GS to the WIFI network from my Linksys WRT54GS router at home.

The I-phone attempts to join without success until I use the Forget This Network button. Does not succeed no matter how long.

This is not a password/security key problem as it happens even when I disable all security.

If I enter an incorrect password, the Iphone will quickly report that it is unable to connect and display a dismiss button.

I have been able to connect the I-phone3GS to three other WIFI networks with & without passwords including Kroger supermarket Wifi.

I have tried WEP, WPA personal & WPA2 personal security but no luck so far.

I am able to get my laptop to connect to the Linksys WRT54GS router.

iOS on the phone is version 6.1.6 (10B500). This is the latest available as of yesterday when I tried to update on a WIFI network that I was able to join.

Any help & ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
