iPhone with a new PC questions

I had a PC running Windows XP which I used to connect my iPhone.

I just got a new PC with Windows 7 and I want to now use it with the iPhone...if I connect the iPhone to the new PC will it wipe out my music and emails, contacts, all data?

How can I make sure that nothing gets erased? I haven't installed iOS5 yet.

Thanks for any info.
