iphone with bose sound dock portable

Hello to all forum members.
I have purchased a sound dock portable and when placing the iphone 3G onto the dock i keep getting a popping noise which seems to cut the sound dock speakers and restarting them, this also happens with my wife's iphone, i had spoken to Bose and they said that some earlier sound docks made before september 2008 had this problem and i was to return it to the store for a refund, i then ordered direct from Bose and the same problem is still happening, can anyone offer any advice on our to resolve the problem.

I have the sounddock portable, and my 3G used to do that. Not in airplane mode, though. With my 3GS, it hasn't happened. Di you have it plugged in the outlet, or on battery power when the sound occurs? Try putting it in airplane mode. It'll help, but your phone ability is gone. Thankfully, I haven't had that problem. I think I got my bose last year sometime, around this time...Good luck
