I have an email account with godaddy, and i cant get my iphone to access it,

i have 2 godaddy accounts set up on my iphone and they work just fine, though i do wish they were IMAP instead of POP accounts.
what settings are you using for the account? does it work on your mac, but just not on your iphone?

I used GoDaddy for quite a while with no issues. Now I forward my GoDaddy mail to Fastmail.fm (it's paid, but cheap and really good) IMAP so I get all the benefits IMAP offers. Works great.
For business email, Fastmail offers some nice features, but yes, you can get IMAP free with AOL or Gmail.

Have you tried it with just smtpout.secureserver.net? You should only need to modify the port if that port is blocked by your ISP.
inbound matches mine. outbound on mine is smtpout.secureserver.net - my server port is 587 and it's only specified in the "advanced" screen that you can get to from the main settings screen for that account.
and like pacohaas said, ssl is on for incoming (password authentication, never delete from server, server port 995). for outgoing, ssl is off, authentication is password, server port is 587.
Iphone and GoDaddy
I'm having a hell of a time getting this thing to receive emails. As it stands now I have it as pop.secureserver.net with my full email as the username, my password, and the ports have been changing trying to make it work. So far:
80 with ssl on or off, no go
SSL on and port 995 - no
SSL off with port 995 - no
I just don't understand it. Authentication is set to password... it should just work. I even tried making it the same as on my Mail and Outlook on the PC and it still didn't work.
Any thoughts for the incoming mail? Outgoing works just fine.

Mine works for incoming mail with these settings (taken directly from the mail app)
Incoming mail server - pop.secureserver.net
User name - full email address
Pwd - is your password
Under advanced
Use ssl - on
Authentication - password
Server port - 995

My incoming works with most the setups described below, however, my ougoing email stopped working all of a sudden, I tried syncing it with my mail.app on my computer (which works) and it did not help, and I also tried to use the settings godaddy tell you to use n their site, and it did not help.
Any suggestions??
