iphone with sidekick data plan??

Hi, this is my first post on here, though I have been reading these forums for a while now. I have a 2g unlocked and jailbroken iphone and i'm using it on Tmobile with the total internet package. I am thinking about getting the new 3G sidekick as a back up phone and was wondering if i'd be able to access data on the iphone with the sidekick data plan as i'd like to use both phones depending on my mood etc...? Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
