ive done that, as ive explained in the video. i usually get paid to repair and troubleshoot ipod/iphone/computer problems for other people, but im completely stumped on this one xD

"You may have explained that, but what you did in the video wasn’t a reboot."

i did that. i was holding down the home and power buttons, and if i continue to hold them, it just says at the apple logo. If i release the power button but hold the home button, it still says at the apple logo. it wont go into DFU mode. also it was jailbroken/ unlocked and when i plugged it up to charge today, it wouldnt connect, even after working this morning. idk why it suddenly stopped. nothings happened to it. but i put it into DFU mode and it wouldnt connect, so i took it out. i tried a reboot and respring with SBsettings, still nothing. then i attempted to wipe it using the erase option in the reset settings. and now it wont boot completely

This works for some. Plug the USB cable into the compute and have iTunes running. Hold the power button and home button until it turns off then release the power button before it turns back on. Continue holding the home button on the iPhone and connect the iPhone onto the dock and CONTINUE to hold the home button until the CONNECT TO ITUNES DISPLAY APPEARS. Proceed to restore as normal.

Or, try my post here:

Wow, you’re just having one problem after another. Try doing the DFU on another USB port, preferably off the motherboard. Also, reboot your computer before doing this.

tried it. still nothing =[

It may be time to get the iPhone 4. :)

Well, I remember one guy just holding down home and power for a very long time and it got recognized by iTunes and he restored it. However, his wasn’t going off and on as fast as yours. Any chance of water damage? You could also try letting it power down to see if that does anything.
