My nephew showed me that once his iPhone charges from one charger it won't charge from that charger again. Does anyone know what's going on?

The phone is an iPhone 13 I used my genuine apple lighting cable. I tried different chargers and they all work with my iPhone 8. Is like he can only use the cable charger once and that's it. When I first started charging his phone it was working fine once I unplugged it and plugged it back in it did not charge. I then started charging my iPhone 8 with no problem.

Have you tried cleaning out the lightning port with a wooden toothpick? It fills with lint and sometimes won't just blow out with air.
This, its amazing how much stuff ends up in there and then gets compressed in with the cables being plugged in. Back in my iPhone 5 days i was very close to taking it back to Apple to see if they could fix an issue when someone suggested i give it a clean. Dragged out loads of stuff and worked fine after that. Since then i've occasionally cleaned out the port on phones and done it for others having issues.

I don't know how that slipped my mind I remember doing that to my phone a few years ago.

I'll do it report back.

Thanks Everyone!

He had his phone checked and they found something wrong with the connector on the phone.
