Iphone won't play any form of media

Hi guys,

So I own an Iphone 3gs 4.3.5 and it is jailbroken.
The main problem I'm having is that whenever i try to play any form of media whether it be songs on my ipod, videos, youtube etc., the iphone will play it for a couple of seconds, and then automatically stop it.

A couple of hunches i have is that possibly I am running out of memory on my iphone. I've gotten multiple messages on cydia saying that I am running out of memory, but I'm not sure if this is affecting the problem i have at all.

Any Ideas or help?
