iPhone won't play music!

Hey guys new member here, have been a Mac user for over 10 years.

Anyways I have recently been having a problem with my iPhone 3GS. After upgrading to OS 4 whenever I open the iPod app it quits within 3 seconds. If there something wrong with my iPhone or is there a setting I may have set without knowing it? Anything I should try?

Okay I got the problem resolved, and I assume it was a bug in OS 4. How I fixed it was I did a complete "Restore" in iTunes. Everything works fine now.
