Okay, so I have a friends phone, and they want me to fix it.. It's a 3GS btw.
I've fixed MANY iphones and never had any problems.. This one..seems a bit too far gone, but i dont know.
Ill try putting it in DFU mode and restoring through itunes..it soudnds like when it says "Preparing iphone for restore" the device is disconnecting and not reconnecting..
So i tried redsn0w with the 4.2.1 firmware.. it gets stuck at waiting for reboot.
The screen never shows ANYTHING on the display unless its connected to a wall outlet.. thats just to show the connect to itunes..it never boots up past that. As soon as its unplugged from the wall..it acts like it has no power to it anymore.. like its dead. Any ideas??
