iPhone wont show me Usage/Standby

So i just let my 5s die and recharged it to 100% without touching it. I was hoping to see how much time i would get out of it but both say 0. I tried a hard reset and still nothing. After about 5 min, all i get is the standby: 5 min. Anyone know how to fix this?

Yes, you misunderstood that.

It gives you the time it was used, before the battery either died, or was plugged in to recharge, so you know how much usage you've gotten.

It doesn't predict usage.
