iPhone won't show up in iPhoto

I've tried rebooting the phone, closing relaunching app, connecting/disconnecting while connected/not connected.

"Sync photos from iPhoto" is selected.

Is there something I'm missing?

i had the same prob when i got a 3GS back in June. i had a 2G previously, and restored a backup made from the old 2G to my new 3GS. doing this wouldn't allow iphoto to sync, or photo sync with Vista either.

i restored my 3GS and set it up as a new phone and it worked fine after that.

If you follow Simes6600's advice, after you restore and setup as a new iPhone, you can restore from a backup and have all your data back.

I was hoping to avoid having to do that, but I guess there isn't much choice...
