I just fully charged my iphone 6 hours ago. I was still successfully using it 3 hours ago and after I last used it, I put it in my handbag.

I just went to get it out to look up a phone number and it won't switch on. I've tried the power button, the home button. Nothing. I've tried plugging in the USB cable to connecting to my computer and nothing either.

I have no idea what happened. I didn't drop my bag or anything.

Anyone can suggest anything else I can try before I take it into the Apple store? :(

Your phone just completely crashed and froze-up. If you ever have any other problems that you can't seem to put right, doing that forces it to restart.

My iPhone was locked on login screen and the touch screen was unresponsive. I couldn't even switch it off.

This solution mentioned above solved the problem. I was not aware of this reboot sequence. Thank you.
