I installed iOS 9 on my iPhone 5S yesterday. Of course, that install included the newest version of iTunes.
Both of my Macs (happily) run Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard has the old iTunes. And the old iTunes and the new iTunes will not talk to one another (so I can't even use my computer to try to undo the iOS 9 install and revert back to iOS 8).
Two hours on the phone with Apple tech support yielded this solution: Purchase Lion and install that on m computer. Assuming that goes seamlessly (ha), I will be able to purchase a new version of Quicken and maybe I will be able to navigate the morass of Word 2008 vs. Lion that I've read about. And I will be able to participate in the glories of what is, I hear, the glorious world of the new iTunes. (And maybe also update my iPhone.)
Does anyone else have a better solution?
