iPhone won't turn on.

My iphone 4 was working fine this morning, nothing out of the ordinary; but when i went to check the time it wouldnt turn on. It is completely dead, and i cant try to turn it on because my lock button doesnt work. I plugged it in to the charger and nothing pops up, no green battery or anything. I even plugged it into my computer and still nothing. Is there any other way to try to get it to turn on? I think it will still work, but since i cant press my lock button im out of the luck; however, on the other hand, why did it just turn off by itself when it was fully charged. Has this happened to anybody else before and what should i do?

I actually think this happened before and i had to do a full system restart by holding down the power and home button; but i cant do that now since that button doesnt work. Is there any other ways you can do a system reset?

Nope my iPhone is not jail broken; it's running the latest software.

anybody? or am i going to have to get a new phone or send this one into apple?
