IPhone won't turn on!

I have had my Iphone 3g 8gb for less than a year. Last night it ran out of battery. So this morning I plugged it into the charger and it has been more than 2 hours and it still wont turn on it. Any ideas??

Did you try holding the sleep and home buttons? Short of that I'd plug it into your Mac/PC to see if it gets detected and if that doesn't work take it into an Apple Store.

Where are you located? I'm not sure about anywhere else but if you're in the UK it will be covered by warranty for 12 months.

If you can't get it going, take it back!

Unplug the iPhone. While holding the home button (only that one), connect it to a PC that has iTunes running. See if that works.
