iPhone wont update. Locked!!

Guys,

Please help.

I have an iPhone 4 which was on 4.1 with Jailbreak. I've tried to update it to 4.3.1 today as I no longer want the jailbreak on there, and I'm getting an error in iTunes and it wont update. It's suck on the connect to iTunes message, what can I do? Please help.

You should try to search for your issue first. Usually, it does not take long to google/forum search the the issue you are having.

Sorry, should have said I've already tried this, but it didn't work

After removing the apple line from the hosts file, restart your computer, then check the hosts file again. I had to do it a few times before mine worked. It's a pain.

Put the phone into DFU mode then do a restore.
