iphone wrap text not working properly

when i am replying to or starting a new email my text wrap doesn't always work. a few letters go off the page on the right, before it wraps. Has any one else seen this "feature?"

Also has anyone see a black line that appears on the screen for a few moments when i am about to reply to an email?
