Hi - tried a search but couldn’t see any relating to this.

Is anyone else getting a “ticking” noise when recording and sending animoji’s?

Thanks in advance

In the actual playing of the Animoji, or just while recording? Either way, nope. Updated to 11.1?

Once it’s been recorded - almost like background noise. Yep, running 11.1.

Yep I’m getting the same thing. I thought the mic was broken but when using the voice recorder there’s nothing!
[doublepost=1509731905][/doublepost]Just a quick update - I had the original screen protector (front and back) on and the phone in its new case. Took off the protector and now there’s no background noise I wonder if the original protector covers a mic that’s needed or messes with noise cancellation. Hope this helps!

I had the exact same thing, ticking noise and low volume at first, took of the screen and back cover protection and it’s been fine ever since.

Yes! Thank you so much for suggesting taking off the screen protector. Instead of taking it off, I just rubbed the film behind the screen protector at the top part of the phone (barely lifting it up w my finger) where the slit or speaker is. That stopped the ticking. The ticking might be some weird speaker feedback.

Glad I checked this forum. I'm having the same issue on my iPhone XR, hoping it'll go away as the above have when I get a new case. Not digging the one sold exclusively by Apple, made by Otterbox. Seems big and bulky compared to the Tech21 I used on my 8+. Any case suggestions for those of us with OCD who haven't removed the film while waiting to get a case?
