Hello, i just ordered a "Apple 12W USB Power Adapter" can i use this Adapter for my iPhone X? because they are the same price as the normal "5W USB Power Adapter", and i there a bad effect if i used a 12W USB Power Adapter?, like my Battery Health will reduced its lifespan or everything is okay?

-Thank you for your time!

It will be fine, and charge the phone faster than the small 5W adapter.

iPhones will charge fastest with an 18W adapter (the maximum they will utilize), but in practical terms, it's not that much faster than a 12W adapter.

12W is the sweet spot and most well-rounded in terms of cost and performance.

Slower charging has some benefit, but for most users, whatever small impact in durability is more than offset by the convenience of faster charging. You can do just as much to benefit lifespan by not completely draining the battery, or keeping it fully-charged for prolonged periods (iOS 13's intelligent charging will assist with the latter).

Is only the X/XS models that’ll benefit with 18W chargers or will the 7/8 as well?

Thanks
