My iPhone X camera module gets quiet hot while recording videos. I recorded a 15 minute video and felt the upper right side of the screen and the camera module had become hot. The flash was turned off so it’s defninitly not the LED’s. I have the video setting at 4K and 60fps. Is this normal with the iPhone X? I’m just concerned about it overheating.

With stabilisation taking place plus focusing in such a small area I would expect it to heat up. Previous models did too but what one person classes as hot others would call warm.

I suppose it makes sense that so much takes place in a small space that consequently generates heat. I was also taking pictures today and after a few shots the camera module was getting warm, so I guess this is normal.
