I’m selling my iPhone X to this guy I know. Thing is he is with Boost Mobile. This phone is from AT&T. Does anyone know if this will work with Boost Mobile?

Boost Mobile is Sprint (CDMA). If you have the AT&T model (the one with the intel instead of qualcomm modem) then it doesn't support CDMA (Sprint or Verizon).

iPhone X A1865 model: works on all US carriers

iPhone X A1901 model: only works on GSM carriers

I called Verizon 2 months ago, they checked the imei number to see if it would work on their network. They said it will. Does that mean it will work on boost mobile since Verizon is CDMA?

I updated my post above with the specific model numbers. Which model number is your iphone X?

A1901. Which I don’t understand why Verizon would tell me that my wife’s and I iPhone X which are both A1901 will work with them

Here's the link to try yourself.

It's a bit bogus, in that if you enter an IMEI number from a GSM (read: ATT) phone, it says it will work. The big caveat is that since Verizon has lots of LTE coverage, which a GSM phone will run on, but if user goes into a zone with out LTE, phone will not be able to connect to CDMA towers that Verizon has.

ADD: the Verizon checker gives the following message, basically saying it's not CDMA capable, but might work.

Awesome, your Apple iPhone 8 Non VZ CDMALess is a perfect match for our network.

A1901 iPhone with intel modem will work with LTE service but cannot use fallback 3G CDMA signal if you lose LTE signal.

So if Boost Mobile has hampered coverage (i.e. Sprint LTE signal coverage not the best), then likely no signal might occur on your A1901.

As far as I'm aware Sprint's network doesn't support VoLTE yet. So that means the A1901 won't get any voice service on their network at all.

I really appreciate all your responses guys. Thank you. Guess I have to look for another buyer.
