Hi,

I currently have this Tozo clear case which I really like but it's not as grippy as the iPhone itself. I wondered if anyone else could recommend a case of a similar form factor (ideally clear, but frosted works too) that definitely has better grip?

Thanks!

Something with TPU will be pretty grippy. I’d recommend the ringke fusion or spigen ultra hybrid

Thank you all for the responses! The only thing is I'm hoping to get a case of a similar thickness to the Tozo, but still clear if possible. Your suggestions are appreciated either way - thanks again!

Incipio NGP Pure has awesome grip.

I'm in the same boat...got the Tozo, looks fantastic but it's way too slippery to use daily. Just pulled the trigger on the JETech and Ringke Air so I can decide between the two. Both supposedly very similar. Hate the branding on the Ringke but if it's grippy then I can live with it.

I love Incipio's stuff...have had their cases on the last three iPhones (5, 6, soon-to-be X). Bought one of their Esquire Series cases which is nice, but I had thoughts of getting something in addition that will show off the design of the iPhone X while still providing some protection. Is this a bulky case?

It’s not bulky at all but it does provide decent protection since it has a lip around the edges.

I’m officially intrigued. I like the other one I got, but I feel like the X should be shown off a little. Isn’t there a worry of yellowing on clear cases?

All clear cases will yellow over time. Ive used mine 2 weeks and zero signs of yellowing so far. Ill probably be picking up another one when it yellows or a ringke air which is half the price and looks good as well according to the pictures I saw. I just can't use non-clear cases with this beauty.

Some of these cases I am saying very nice the one that I have is also like the one that I had on my iPhone 7 Plus obviously I know have the iPhone X this case is very drippy is soft rubber all over the sides but the back is a hard clear plastic it is probably the nicest type of case I have had

I am waiting on delivery of this Jetech case as well. How is holding up? Description claims that this is scratch resistant.

Does it have microdots on the inside back, and any yellowing yet? I have a Symmetry Clear case that is now yellowing after two weeks!

I've heard bad things about that Otterbox scratching and yellowing very fast, I would try to return it ASAP if possible.

I ordered both the JEtech and Ringke Air clear cases.

The JEtech is a solid case. The back panel is hard and not flexible (Ringke Air is totally flexible), but the sides have that flexible material and it has a good grip. The JEtech is shaped more square-like with edges/ridges on the back and front so that when you rest it down, it sits flat against the ridge instead of flush with the back of the case, like the Air. The JEtech is slightly easier to hold because the case is a little thicker, but both feel great in hand. The JEtech seems to obtain finger print smudges and dirt easier than my other clear cases and the Air, and for some reason they seem a bit harder to wipe off on the JEtech.

Both cases have very tiny microdots that are barely noticeable unless you look for them under a light (which is fine because that looks much better than the water effect.) The JEtech edges that wrap around the phone also are not as crystal clear as the Air (almost have a very slight cloudy appearance).

Between the two, I prefer the appearance and feel of the Ringke Air. The Air it feels like the sleeker or "more expensive" case in hand which you can barely tell is on your phone. It has the same round-edge clean flowing glove formfactor as the body of iPhone X itself. The JEtech is a bit thicker (but not bulky) so it would protect against drops, but its ridged design does not adhere to the smooth lines of the phone itself. However, for a slim clear case, the Ringke Air is military rated at 4ft drop protection which is sufficient paired with a tempered glass screen protector. I also like that the lip on the Air very slightly extends on the top and bottom of the phone, efficiently aiding drop protection. I will be keeping both of these in case the Ringke Air yellows or gets damaged, but I prefer the Ringke Air.

Thanks for your input. Received the Jetech today. Best $6 I ever spent. May even double up. I like the size, feel, form, and protective lip. My hunt for a perfect case is over.

I don’t get what you said about it having a squared look as it only hugs to the actual shape of the x. No Nike air cushions of any sort, which I love :)

Got my iPhone X yesterday (YES!!!!!) and put an Incipio Esquire Series case on it. Great protection and I think it'll be my go-to case when I need good protection on-the-go, but it's a bit slick for my liking. Perhaps I'll exchange it now that I say that. Slickness doesn't work well with my giant hands.

Bah, anyway I'm thinking out loud before a full cup of coffee. I just ordered the JETech to show off the beauty of the iPhone X. Once I got it I almost hated covering it up. I'll give this JETech a shot while I can figure out a secondary solution. Thanks for the recommendation!
