I didn't know where to put this, so I am putting this here since I need some advice.

Basically, I use GPS a lot on my iPhone X. I got the phone on launch and ever since I have noticed that if I leave Google Maps on for around 10 minutes or so, the screen dims. If I leave Google Maps on for 30 minutes or so, the phone becomes hot and it throttles and Google Maps slows down.

Eventually, if I leave the phone on Google Maps, the dreaded "the phone is too hot, you can't use it right now" shows up.

The resolution I have discovered to alleviating this problem is after I am done using Google Maps, to turn off the phone completely and wait for like 2-3 minutes and then boot it back up after the phone has cooled. Then the brightness comes back to full and there is no throttling.

Anyone else have this issue with their iPhone X?

Thanks!
