So, i was originally going to order via the Apple Store app but the app never refreshed when the store went live. I quickly then went over to Verizon's website and placed an order there. But, something strange happened and I wasn't 100% sure that my order went through. I tried to check my orders and nothing was listed. After a couple minutes still hadn't received a confirmation email from Verizon.

At this point I went back into the Apple Store app and was able to place an order... although for some reason it only made me a reservation, not an actual order.

Anyway, everything straightened out while I was asleep and I received my Verizon order information and my Apple reservation information. Both with an 11/3 delivery date.

My question is, can I keep both? I figured I could give one to my daughter if I can.

Thanks!

If you're comfortable being charged for the extra device, then absolutely you can keep it.

Thanks... I guess my question is more about the fact that when placing the order the phones are tied to my Verizon phone number. When both phones get to me what happens when both are turned on? How do I get one phone assigned to a different number on a different account?

Thanks!

If Verizon uses SIM cards, do not turn on the second one without removing the SIM card first?[/QUOTE

The Verizon order does mention a SIM card. The apple order doesn't but I'm guessing they both have sims tied to the number. Does this mean I'll have to go into a Verizon store to get it on my daughter's phone?

My VZW 8+ ordered from the carrier directly came with the sim already installed and wasn’t listed on the invoice like it was on the vZW 8+ My wife got from Best Buy. The BB sim was in the box and had to be inserted upon activation. Not exactly the same but maybe similar?
