Other iPhone X owners, have you experienced any dust trapped in between the screen and stainless steel banding?

It’s super distracting on the Space Grey, and I’m not sure how to get it out. Any suggestions? I’m just afraid of scratching the banding.

I found rubbing the edge of the device across my jeans works a treat. :)
i think he meant the inside part between between the stainless steel and the screen.

In your situation, It might be dried adhesive. Others have mentioned this as well in other threads, it's just something that you might have to end up ignoring altogether.

The edge of a paper works great. But yes. Much more noticeable on space grey compared to silver etc.

Thanks for the explanation. I’m usually not this OCD with a phone, but man when you pay a hefty down payment....

Just wish Apple had paid more attention to these little things for such an expensive device.

It’s been like that since the iPhone 6. I don’t know why but Apple can’t get a tight fit.

Compressed air from a air compressor will blast the dust away immediately. Nothing else will work.....

Spray the air in a random direction for a minute or two to clear dirt or debris from the lines. Spray your hand with the air to confirm you’re not gonna sand blast your phone lol, and that only air is coming out.

Then blast the outer edge of the screen to death!

My new iPhone 7 already had dirt/lint buildup from just a day that I couldn’t get out by hand. Compressed air removed all of it.

Honestly, I don’t recommend using compressed air at all on a smart phone. That can actually exacerbate the issue even more, what you could do as an alternative, is use a really ‘soft fine bristle brush’, and it could potentially remove any debris between the casing/glass display.

It doesn’t work. I’ve tried every bristle brush around without any luck.. The compressed air forces the debris out of the crevice they’re stuck in. They do not go in deeper or get stuck worse. ^ I thought of this as well. After several failed attempts using objects, bristles, brushes, suction, and other methods. I realized the air compressor would probably do the trick.

Compressed air will blast it all out, and the bezel will look new again and free from debris.

The air pressure is so great, it literally acts like a vacuum expelling everything out of the area. The debris have no where to go but out. And it freaking works great, I’ll blow my bezel out every week from now on.

Fair enough. I can’t say I’ve tried a bristle brush before, I just know others have had poor experiences using compressed air Forcing moisture to get trapped under the display, causing ‘air bubbles’.

When I was using little brushes, I was thinking this is ridiculous apple this dirt will not budge. Im not going to remove my iPhone display just to clean this dirt out. There has to be another option.

My iPhone 7 is brand new, and my results were fantastic with compressed air without any side effects or bad results.

I was running the air at full force, then I’d run the air pressure on the bezel briefly sweeping the air on and away from the screen gaps going around the entire phone.
